Often your arrival here comes at a time of great personal trauma due to a recent diagnosis or encounter with MLD. We want you to know that you can count on us for support, information and to help you get connected with others who are also on the MLD journey.

ATTENTION late infantile families - a MLD Natural History study is currently recruiting in North Carolina. You do not need to live close by to participate. This NHS is required to provide a baseline for the upcoming US Clinical Trials of Metazyme. See further information here.

MLD Family Conference Sept, 2008 - Shire HGT announces the completion of the Phase II Clinical Trial for safety and efficacy in Europe. Participants are now on compassionate use sustaining dosages of HGT-1111. We are awaiting an update on the start of Phase II trials in the US. more here April 24, 2008 - Shire HGT has aquired Metazym from Zymenex.
